This is a not very good picture of the article on page 14 in the March-April 2025 edition in Southern Cross about our New Testament Greek group. We have been going since February last year, and have graduated from being Beginners to now calling ourselves Continuers.
We are studying The First Letter of John using this book.
I’m hoping that our story might encourage others to have a crack in their church. It has been a lot of work for me, but rewarding and exciting to see my students progressing, and finding that I’m learning a lot, too.
The NSW Teachers’ Federation motto used to be Qui docet discit
(which is Latin, not Greek!) - the one who teaches, learns.
It was later updated to It’s amazing what you learn when you teach.
Want to start a group in your church? If so, I have some suggestions!
I’m grateful to Judy Adamson for writing our story and to Tim Robinson for taking photo for the story.
